IZOCAM TYPE 650 INDUSTRIAL BLANKET | Industrial Thermal, Acoustic and Fire Insulation

Izocam Type 650 Industrial Blanket | A Safe Choice for Industrial Thermal, Acoustic and Fire Insulation

Izocam Type 650 Industrial Blanket is a rock wool-based insulation product developed for industrial facilities exposed to high temperatures, vibration, mechanical stress, and fire risks. Thanks to its A1 non-combustible classification, strong thermal resistance, and effective acoustic performance, it is safely used in boiler rooms, piping systems, furnace outer surfaces, and high-temperature processes.

Its double-sided wire mesh (galvanized rabitz wire) provides both mechanical strength and ease of installation. It meets critical safety requirements such as non-combustibility, flame resistance, and low smoke emission, ensuring compliance with industrial standards.

Installation Method

Izocam Type 650 is applied using standard industrial insulation techniques:

  • Blankets are cut according to the application surface.
  • They are wrapped around the surface to be insulated.
  • Joints are stitched using galvanized rabitz wire.
  • No gaps should be left at joints to ensure insulation performance.
  • For large surfaces, approximately 5–6 welded fixing pins per m² are used.
  • Plates are attached to pin ends to complete fixation.
  • Pins also act as spacers for external metal cladding.

This method enhances both mechanical strength and long-term performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Type 650 used?
It is used in boiler rooms, piping systems, high-temperature surfaces, industrial process lines, and furnace outer surfaces.

What is its fire rating?
It is classified as A1 non-combustible material.

What is the difference between Type 650 and Type 700?
Type 700 offers slightly higher thermal conductivity performance and temperature resistance.

Is installation difficult?
No. Thanks to the wire mesh facing, it can be easily fixed onto surfaces.

What is the maximum temperature resistance?
It can operate up to approximately 300 °C.
