Application Steps
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry, and free from dust. Loose particles should be removed, and application should not be carried out on damp surfaces.
Mixing
The product should be thoroughly mixed before use. If necessary, a thinner may be added according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Application
Apply using a brush, roller, or airless spray equipment. For the second coat, wait until the first coat has completely dried (approximately 1–2 hours). A minimum waiting period of 2 hours between coats is recommended.
Curing
Depending on ambient conditions, the surface can be fully opened to use after approximately 24 hours.
Application Recommendations
-
Do not apply at temperatures below +5°C.
-
Avoid application under direct sunlight, rain, or strong winds.
-
Do not add water or any materials other than the recommended solvent/thinner.
-
Drying time may increase under high humidity conditions.
-
Clean application equipment with a suitable solvent immediately after use.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can DUROPAINT be used outdoors?
Yes. Thanks to its UV and water resistance, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Which surfaces can it be applied to?
Concrete, asphalt, and similar mineral-based surfaces.
What is the drying time?
Touch dry time is approximately 15–30 minutes, while full curing is achieved within 24 hours.
What is the recommended application temperature range?
Between +5°C and +35°C.
For which areas is it not recommended?
It is not recommended for heavy industrial environments requiring high chemical resistance. For such applications, epoxy- or polyurethane-based coating systems should be preferred.
