FİXA® HIGHFLEX GRANITE & CERAMIC TILE ADHESIVE (C2TES1)
Product Description
FİXA HIGHFLEX GRANITE & CERAMIC TILE ADHESIVE (C2TES1) is a high-performance, flexible tile adhesive developed for demanding professional applications. It provides outstanding bond strength and long-term durability for large-format ceramic tiles, porcelain, granite, marble, and natural stone installations.
Its C2TES1 classification ensures high adhesion, reduced slip, extended open time, and S1 deformability, making it suitable for areas exposed to temperature fluctuations, moisture, vibration, and structural movement.
Key Features
- Cement-based, single-component, polymer-modified formulation
- C2TES1 classification: High bond strength, reduced slip, extended open time, S1 flexibility
- Excellent non-slip performance on vertical surfaces
- Extended working time (30-minute open time)
- Water and frost resistant
- Resistant to thermal movement and vibration (-30°C to +80°C)
- Suitable for interior and exterior applications
- Ideal for large-format tiles and natural stone
Applications
FİXA HIGHFLEX is recommended for:
- Interior and exterior wall and floor installations
- Large-format ceramic and porcelain tiles
- Granite, marble, travertine, clinker, mosaic, and natural stone
- Shopping malls, hospitals, schools, offices, and other high-traffic areas
- Underfloor heating systems
- Balconies, terraces, swimming pools, and water tanks
- Tile-over-tile and stone-over-stone renovation projects
- Concrete, cement screeds, and plaster substrates
Advantages
- Superior Bond Strength (C2): Securely fixes heavy and large-format covering materials.
- S1 Flexible Performance: Absorbs thermal expansion, vibration, and substrate movement.
- Reduced Slip: Prevents tile movement during vertical installations.
- Extended Open Time: Allows comfortable installation over large surfaces.
- Suitable for Heated Floors: Performs reliably with underfloor heating systems.
- Weather Resistant: Withstands freeze-thaw cycles and demanding outdoor conditions.
- Long-Term Durability: Provides reliable performance even in challenging environments.
Surface Preparation
- The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, curing compounds, and loose materials.
- Weak or damaged substrates should be repaired using appropriate FİXA repair mortars before installation.
- Slightly damp substrates are acceptable.
- An adhesion-promoting primer is recommended for highly absorbent surfaces.
Mixing Instructions
- Mix one 25 kg bag with 6.0–6.5 liters of clean water.
- Blend using a low-speed mixer for 3–5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
- Allow the mixture to rest for 2–3 minutes, then remix briefly before use.
- Pot life: Approximately 30 minutes.
Application Instructions
- Spread the adhesive evenly using a notched steel trowel.
- Install tiles within approximately 30 minutes, before skin formation occurs.
- During vertical applications, firmly press tiles into the adhesive to ensure complete contact.
- For large-format tiles and natural stone, full adhesive coverage is recommended.
Grouting
- Floor installations: Grout after approximately 24 hours.
- Wall installations: Grout after approximately 48 hours.
- For continuously wet environments such as swimming pools, allow additional curing time before grouting.
Consumption
3–7 kg/m², depending on tile size, substrate condition, and trowel selection.
