Product Description
FİXA® Pool and Wet Area Tile Adhesive is a C2TES1 class high-performance adhesive developed for the secure installation of ceramic tiles and glass mosaics in swimming pools, water tanks, spas, saunas, Turkish baths, and other high-moisture environments. Its polymer-modified, S1 flexible, non-slip formula with extended working time provides maximum durability in all applications requiring waterproof performance.

Surface Preparation
- The substrate must be fully cured.
- Remove oil, dust, tar, paint, silicone, detergent residues, and form-release agents.
- Damaged substrates should be repaired with FİXA Repair Mortar at least 24 hours before application.
- The substrate should be lightly dampened and kept moist.
- Apply primer on highly absorbent surfaces.
- In pools and wet areas, use FİXA waterproofing products (POLYMERA, AQUACEMENT, AQUAFIX).
- Internal corners should be chamfered and reinforced with waterproofing mesh.
Mortar Preparation
- 25 kg powder → 6–6.5 liters of clean water
- Mix with a low-speed mixer until homogeneous.
- Allow the mixture to rest for 5–10 minutes, then remix for 1–2 minutes.
- Pot life: 2.5–3 hours
Application Instructions
- First apply a thin contact layer to the substrate.
- Then comb the adhesive using an appropriate notched trowel.
- For vertical applications, begin installation from the bottom row.
- Do not fill expansion joints in floor applications.
- At least 80% of the back of the tile must be in contact with the adhesive.
- Double-sided application is recommended for large-format coverings.
- Secure the covering with a rubber mallet.
- Leave appropriate grout joints and complete the installation using FİXA grout.
Consumption
Average: 3.5–4 kg/m² (depending on the application type)
Precautions
- Do not apply below +5°C or above +35°C.
- Do not add excessive water.
- Do not apply where there is a risk of freezing.
- Do not add water or powder to mortar that has exceeded its pot life.
- Use only unopened bags.
