FOX CERA® FX110 Tile Adhesive | C1T Reduced Slip

FOX CERA® FX110

FOX CERA® FX110 is a high-stability cement-based tile and ceramic adhesive with reduced slip properties. It is suitable for all climate conditions and can be used for both horizontal and vertical applications in indoor and outdoor areas.

According to the TS EN 12004-1:2017 standard, the product is classified as:

C1T Class: Normal-setting cement-based adhesive with reduced slip properties

Thanks to its non-sliding structure on vertical surfaces, FOX CERA® FX110 provides controlled and safe application performance.

Where Is FOX CERA® FX110 Used?

FOX CERA® FX110 is suitable for the following applications:

  • Horizontal and vertical applications in indoor and outdoor areas
  • Concrete, screed, plaster, and cement-based surfaces
  • Small and medium-sized ceramic and tile coverings with water absorption rates above 3%
  • Covering materials with maximum dimensions of 33 × 33 cm

Surface Preparation

Cement-based surfaces must be strong, clean, free from dust and dirt, and properly leveled before application.

Areas requiring repair should be restored with INNO-CRETE series repair mortars at least 1 day before application.

If the surface temperature is above +25°C, the surface should be slightly moistened before application.

Mixing

The appropriate amount of clean water specified on the packaging should be poured into a clean mixing container.

FOX CERA® FX110 powder should be gradually added into the water while mixing at 400–600 rpm. The mixture should be mixed for approximately 2–3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Care should be taken to ensure that no lumps remain.

After resting the mixture for 3–5 minutes, it should be mixed again for 1 minute before application.

Mixing Ratios:

For 25 kg grey product:

  • 6.00 ±0.25 liters of water

For 1 kg grey product:

  • 240 ±10 ml of water

For 25 kg white product:

  • 6.25 ±0.25 liters of water

For 1 kg white product:

  • 250 ±10 ml of water

Application Method

Using the flat side of the trowel, apply approximately a 1 mm thick layer of FOX CERA® FX110 onto the application surface.

Within the 20-minute open time, spread the adhesive over the area that can be covered using a notched trowel in a single direction to achieve a uniform thickness.

For ceramic and tile applications with different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply approximately a 1 mm thick layer of adhesive to the back of each covering material.

Covering materials should be placed onto the surface to ensure complete contact with the adhesive mortar. Proper joint spacing should be maintained during application.

Grouting can be started approximately 24 hours after application. The use of INNO-FIX series grout products is recommended for this process.

Applicability Test

To check the open time, press a finger onto the applied adhesive.

  • If the adhesive sticks to the finger, application can continue.
  • If the adhesive does not stick, the open time has expired. In this case, the surface should be scraped and fresh adhesive should be applied.

Consumption

Consumption varies depending on the tooth thickness of the ceramic trowel used and is approximately:

3.5–7 kg/m²
