FOX BETON RP40 – High Performance Ready-Mixed Dry Concrete and Screed Mortar with C40 Strength

Product Description

FOX BETON RP40 is a ready-mixed dry concrete and screed mortar with a C40 compressive strength class. Its cement-based formulation, polymer additives, and fiber reinforcement provide long-lasting and high-strength performance for both interior and exterior applications.

The product minimizes on-site mixing errors and ensures controlled, homogeneous, and consistent application quality.

Application Areas

FOX BETON RP40 is suitable for:

  • Interior and exterior applications
  • Repairing surface defects and correcting level differences
  • Floors requiring smooth and power-finished surfaces
  • Door and window lintels, beams, and similar structural applications
  • Floor screeds and areas requiring high-performance solutions

RP40 is especially preferred for floors exposed to high loads and demanding service conditions.

Technical Advantages

The main advantages of FOX BETON RP40 include:

  • Easy and fast application
  • Savings in time and labor costs
  • Reduced risk of cracking thanks to special additives
  • High and uniform strength performance through homogeneous mixing
  • Minimum material waste due to ready-mixed formulation

Application Procedure

1) Surface Preparation

The substrate must be:

  • Clean, dry, sound, and free from dust
  • Free from frozen areas or salt/lime efflorescence
  • Free from weak concrete parts and loose sections

Damaged areas and cavities should be properly cleaned before application.

2) Priming

PCC Primer (Wet-on-Wet Application)

Prepare the primer mixture using:

  • 1 part cement
  • 1 part FOX BINDER FM125
  • 2 parts water

Apply evenly with approximately 0.35 kg/m² consumption. FOX BETON RP40 should be applied before the primer dries.

Acrylic Primer

Existing surfaces can be primed with FOX UNIPRIMER FL555. RP40 application should begin after the primer has dried.

3) Mixing Ratios

Mortar Consistency:

  • 1 kg product: approximately 120 ± 10 ml water
  • 25 kg bag: approximately 3.0 ± 0.25 liters water

Dry Screed Consistency:

  • 1 kg product: approximately 110 ± 10 ml water
  • 25 kg bag: approximately 2.75 ± 0.25 liters water

4) Application (Floor Levelling / Screed)

  • Mix the product homogeneously for 4–5 minutes using a concrete mixer or hand mixer.
  • Spread and level using a trowel or suitable hand tools.
  • Surface finishing with a power float can be performed approximately 1.5–2 hours after application.
  • During the first 7 days, the surface should be protected or moistened if exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

5) Consumption

Approximately 20–22 kg/m² for 1 cm thickness

Important Considerations During Application

  • Application temperature should be between +10°C and +30°C.
  • Freshly applied surfaces should be protected from direct sunlight and wind to prevent rapid drying.
  • Application should not be carried out in extremely hot, rainy, or windy weather conditions.
  • In cold weather, ambient and surface temperatures should be increased, and materials should be conditioned between +20°C and +25°C.

Packaging and Storage

Packaging: 25 kg kraft bag

Shelf Life: 12 months (+10°C – +30°C storage conditions)

Storage: Store in a cool and dry environment, protected from direct sunlight and frost.
